Blacksite / First-run notes

Before you chase a high wave, learn the way out.

A first-run guide to HYPED Blacksite: learn an exit route, improve your starting kit, repair with purpose and make room for teammate revives.

Blacksite's opening is a good time to learn the room. Later, the same doorway will be harder to inspect because something will be standing in it. Use the early pressure to find your route, rather than treating every quiet second as time you should spend firing.

Know what you start with

The current kit starts with the H-9 handgun, a knife and a grenade. You do not start with a primary rifle. That makes your first useful weapon purchase a meaningful change in what you can handle.

Avoid reading a PvP damage chart as a survival promise. Blacksite has its own weapon scaling and enemy modifiers. Exact shots-to-kill depend on the weapon, hit location and the enemy's current state.

Learn one loop before opening another problem

Choose an exit and see where it leads. Then work out how you would return without cutting straight through the same doorway. You are looking for a repeatable route, not a perfect tour of the whole map.

When pressure rises, glance toward your destination before moving. The obvious opening can disappear while you are watching the target in front of you. If an exit is already blocked, turn early instead of trying to squeeze through the last gap.

Buy to solve the problem you have

If the handgun leaves you reloading while groups close in, improving the weapon is an immediate goal. If the current lane is no longer safe, a route decision may come first. Spending because a purchase is available is less useful than knowing what it changes.

Prices and balance can change during development, so this guide does not lock you into a fixed wave-by-wave shopping list. Look at the in-game price and the pressure around the purchase point before committing.

Repair for time and space

A barricade is a way to delay entry. Repair it when the delay helps you hold a lane, regroup or reach the next decision. Watch the other entrances while you work; facing a repaired barrier does not protect your back.

If the team is already relocating, stopping alone to repair can separate you from the cover you need. A full barricade in the wrong place is not automatically worth the time spent building it.

Make room before the revive

A downed teammate needs help, but the approach matters. Draw enemies away from their position if you can, check the lane, and give the player doing the revive some space.

The current revive hold takes 3.5 seconds and returns the teammate with half health. That is a development setting, not a permanent guarantee. After the revive, move together toward a safer position instead of treating the player as fully reset.

Notice which enemy changes your plan

In the current base stats, a Runner has 55 health and a speed of 9.6 m/s; a Walker has 80 health and a speed of 2.9 m/s. The Runner's lower health does not make it irrelevant. Its speed changes how long you have before the space closes.

A Brute presents a different problem: 600 base health, but a slower 2.6 m/s base speed. Preserve room to maneuver instead of assuming you should hold the trigger and stand still. Use the enemy table for the complete standard-roster snapshot and its limitations.

For the first run: learn the route, recognize one new enemy, and notice why a lane stopped being safe. Those lessons survive a failed wave.

Based on HYPED's current starting-kit, revive and zombie-archetype configuration, checked October 6, 2026. This is a development guide, not a public-release walkthrough.
